On Thursday April 25 we invited pregnant women and new mums for a lovely Spring tea party by the sea at London Dairy Cafe in La Mer. We had around 80 mums-to-be and mums with their little ones in attendance, and treated them to a whole host of delicious food and fabulous activities.

King's College Hospital brought along a lovely team of experts, including midwife Hannah Duncan, family medicine doctor Dr Sophie Racktoo, and paediatric specialist Dr Nitin Verma, who chatted to the mums and mums-to-be about everything from pregnancy health and preparing for labour, to childhood allergies, colic and digestive disorders in babies.

Babyshop provided some fantastic children's entertainment - there were clown acts, balloon bending and face painting to keep little ones happy, while mums-to-be could browse Babyshop's stall of newborn essentials and mums could check out their latest fashion range for kids.

Hartland International School was also present, and their teachers spoke to our mums about how to choose your child's education option in Dubai, while also offering colouring and craft activities and handing out balloons to occupy mini hands.

The lovely angels from Malaak Mama & Baby Care looked after babies to enable their mamas to have a cup of tea in peace, while the incredible balloon designers at Happy Bubble Balloons decorated the cafe with some gorgeous balloon garlands and decor, displayed their baby shower gifting options and handed out balloon pops.

Of course one of the major draws of any tea party is the food, and our mothers were treated to a delicious High Tea selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes, as well as a scrumptious breakfast of Eggs Benedict and French Toast.

To keep the excitement ignited, we had several high-value prize draws, which every attendee had a chance to win. King's College Hospital gave away three postnatal maternity home visits from their midwives, as well as 10 3D/4D scans by a fetal medicine specialist. Babyshop gave away an amazing Britax car seat, as well as a feeding pillow and baby carrier.
