As the busy winter period approaches and the school season kicks off, Baby & Child invited 50 mums for a much-needed break at the lovely Saladicious & Grillz restaurant in City Walk on September 5th.
The stylishly designed Saladicious & Grillz, with chic leather banquette seating and quirky details - like awesome gnome-shaped side tables! - was the prefect spot for our mums to meet and have a catch-up whilst their little ones enjoyed a host of entertainment and activities.
As well as brilliant childcare assistance from the nurses at Malaak Mama & Baby Care - allowing mums to sit back and relax - we had the team on hand from RockIt Science.
A unique, education-focused kid's party business, RockIt Science offer action-packed activities for kids of all ages. At Saladicious they kept little ones (and plenty of adults!) fascinated with their impressively gooey slime demonstrations and hand-operated bottle rockets.
For the mums we had experts on hand to answer all their questions on health and education.
From Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital the friendly and informative staff chatted to mums about any pre- and post- pregnancy dilemmas they had.
Mingling with the mums were Dahlia Jaabari, marketing team leader (above left) and Dr Alaa Alwahaily, consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist (above right) and Dr Wafa Faisal (below centre), consultant paediatrician.
Meanwhile, from the British curriculum Hartland International School Amina Evans (below left), head of EYFS, and Janice Butterworth (below right), vice principal - head of primary, handled any queries the mums had about the approaching schooling of their little ones, offering some great advice on Dubai-based early years education.
Guests were treated to some delicious eats from the venue, from mashed avocado with poached eggs on toast, to cured beetroot salmon, lime zest and capers with sour cream, plus gorgeous breads and pastries...
...all overseen by the talented executive chef Isterling Alvarado, pictured here with Baby & Child's editor Tabitha Barda (left) and relationship manager Mehak Taneja:
The event was topped off by some beautiful floral centrepieces - in Baby & Child colours no less! - by the wonderful florists at Glamour Rose...
...and some adorable face-painting for the kids from Belle Enfance by Belle Femme, a specialised beauty boutique salon & spa, offering services tailor-made for little boys and girls.
Last but certainly not least, our guests left with brimming goodie bags featuring an extra special gift, a Dh100 voucher from event partners Babyshop, one of the UAE's biggest and most popular stores with parents and kids, making sure everyone departed with smiles on their faces.
