The latest Baby & Child mummy morning took place at Serendipity 3 in Festival City Mall where we welcomed around 40 mums and their little ones for a fab morning of catching up, sharing experiences and getting expert advice.
A restaurant famed for its instagrammable décor and fabulous desserts, Serendipity 3 provided the perfect venue for a relaxed event filled with tasty treats, including mouth-watering eggs Florentine, smoked salmon bagels, breakfast pastries, fruit platters and deliciously crispy potato wedges. Yum!
Our mums were joined by the team from Burjeel hospital, with specialised advice from Dr. Ashkan Haghshenas, Vascular Surgeon and expert in varicose vein treatment.
Answering the mums’ key questions and concerns, the Burjeel team also conducted general health exams for the women in attendance which was particularly appreciated by many of the mums-to-be who’d come along for the event.
Childcare was generously provided by Malaak, whose skilled staff helped keep the babies and toddlers safe and entertained, leaving the mamas free for some much needed socialising and relaxation time.
Cecile de Scally, Malaak’s Lead Midwife Educator and resident ‘baby whisperer’ was also on hand to field queries.
Last but not least we were joined by Soulaf Mansour, Ph.D, IBCLC, a lactation consultant at Rainbow Parenting who provided invaluable tips for nursing mums or those expecting ladies who are interested in breastfeeding.
All the mums went away with a gift bag packed full of lovely discounts, deals and goodies from Serendipity 3, Burjeel Hospital, Malaak, Rainbow Parenting and especially My List, the UAE’s first online gift registry, ideal for those planning baby showers.
Thanks to everyone who attended for helping make the morning so great! We hope to see you again soon.
