If, like us, you nurse a secret love for all things Disney even as an adult then your kids are the perfect excuse to indulge in this stunning extravaganza of escapism and toe-tapping Disney show tunes. The little ones will love it too of course – this fantastical, frosty adventure sees Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy take kids (and accompanying grown-ups) on a magical journey through The Lion King’s pride lands, The Little Mermaid’s underwater world, Peter Pan’s Neverland and the Frozen kingdom. 20-21 APRIL

This new musical is based upon the picture book of the same name by Oliver Jeffers, (who wrote kids’  book classic How to Catch a Star). Suitable for kids of all ages, this charming adaptation uses puppets and songs to tell the story of a young boy who finds a penguin on his doorstep. This year’s family-friendly music festival at one of our favourite Dubai gastro pubs looks set to be an absolute cracker. There will be a dedicated kids’ zone and fun-packed activities with the awesome Magic Phil show, all set against the chilled-out backdrop of Reform’s stunning lakeside grounds and an amazing line-up of tunes by artists courtesy of Freshly Ground Sounds. At this family-friendly race, where we’ll be cheering on our tots in the Baby Crawl and Toddler Trot categories (have you ever heard of anything more adorable?!), while spreading the message of a healthy lifestyle at every age. Based in the beautiful Creek Park, runs of 400m to 2,000m are split into the age categories of 3-4 year, 5-6 years, 7-8 years, 9-10 years and 11-13 years, while babies of 9-12 months can get their crawl on along with their mummy or daddy for a 10m race. Art For All brings yet another charming children’s production to the UAE with Monstersaurus, adapted from the bestselling book of the same name, which tells the tale of an imaginative young inventor called Monty, whose harebrained scheme to create a tribe of whacky monsters all turns a bit pear-shaped. Brought to life by the makers of Aliens Love Underpants, the result is a hugely interactive and fun show, full of songs and dances and lashings of audience participation.
