Banish dryness. Your skin is your largest organ, so it should be treated with respect. This means avoiding harsh exfoliators and chemicals such as parabens and sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). Anything you put on your skin is absorbed into the bloodstream within 20 seconds, so it’s always best to err on the side of caution when pregnant and stick to organic, natural brands with simple, effective ingredients. My top tip for banishing dryness is to incorporate a weekly moisturising mask into your skincare routine - it can make a big difference!

Combat dark spots and pigmentation. Around half of all women will experience skin pigmentation while pregnant.
