We are loving the work of Dubai-based body painter Alicia Goveas, who creates stunning customised images on baby bumps, for a truly unique way of celebrating the pregnant body, and an original subject for maternity photographs. "It's a therapeutic experience for a mum-to-be to have the paintbrush move across her belly for one to two hours while I paint," says Alicia. Usually done when you are around the eigth or ninth month of pregnancy, the baby often responds to the paintbrush sensations too, making it a truly bonding experience. "I conceptualise the belly-art design based on the parents' interest or story, and I photograph it myself, as well as filming a time-lapse video too for social media." A package of bump art + high-res images range from Dh500-750. Call Alicia on 0503456919 or check out her Instagram: @aliciagoveas.
