Is it just us or does it seem a bit soon for half term to be upon us already? If your little one is at school or nursery, dreaming up new activities for entertaining them over the holiday break can be a challenge (both mentally and financially!).

The DSF pass, created as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival, is a great option for treating your tot to some of the city's most awe-inspiring entertainment options over the break while also not breaking the bank.

There are six different pass options to choose from, all of which offer a different package of deals and savings. We went for the 'Savour 3 Pass', which can be used for five days from the first use at any three of the 61 attractions and dining  outlets involved in the promotion.

Kidzania Dubai

These attractions really are the 'crème de la creme' of the Dubai entertainment scene - we're talking the likes of Green Planet, Mattel! Play Town, Kidzania and Orbi, plus theme parks like LEGOLAND and IMG World and adventure spots like Aventura, iFly, Ski Dubai and  Wild Wadi.

Legoland

It's also absolutely not just for kids - you can take the little ones out to something fun in the day, and then treat yourself and hubby to  the awesome, acrobatic spectacular that is La Perle in the evening, or even to a set menu at one of the snazzy participating restaurants, such as Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera, Katana robata and sushi bar or Boulevard Kitchen.

And if you have guests coming to stay, it's a no-brainer, since pricey visitor must-sees such as At The Top at the Burj Khalifa, and multiple desert safaris and cruises are also included.

Considering that entrance to most of these attractions or meals at these restaurants would usually hover around at least the Dh200 mark each, the fact that an adult DSF Pass is Dh480 for access to three venues (it's actually on offer at the moment for Dh449) represents some hefty savings. And, depending on how you use it, you could get some seriously amazing value out of it. For instance, here's our proposed itinerary over the half term:

Legoland Dubai with the kids (usual resident's rate ticket Dh165/ Dh235 for non-residents)

Kidzania with the kids (usual cheapest child ticket at off-peak times Dh160)

La Perle with the other half (usual cheapest tickets Dh420)

= Dh745

DSF Pass price = Dh449 (on current offer)

Which makes a saving of nearly Dh300!

Seems like a great deal whichever way you look at it. Check out the DSF Pass website to find out more about the packages available.

The passes are valid until 20 February 2018, so get buying yours now!
